Learn A Little More About Simpson And Sons

Mission Statement Following every venture that we make available, there is always an objective. When Simpson and Sons was formed, our main objective was to formulate a profit. Without a doubt, it is the meaningful principle of company owners that we must have an even greater objective that is far more of great magnitude than any other. Our company has made that adjustment to its objective. That objective is to glorify God in what we are doing. God’s word to man is very clear. “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.” (Col 3: 17, 23-24) Without a doubt, we need to be profitable financially, but above and beyond this, we must fulfill that task, using God’s glorification principles as our leader. God’s love must flood our motives that all we do will be for His glory. We must live as Jesus Christ’s representatives. May possibly every forthcoming venture of this company be to support this significant objective. About Us We have been in business for over 30 years. As a family business, Loyd and Steve Simpson started the business as a pallet mill, building pallets for various individuals and other companies. Eventually they turned the pallet mill into a furniture grade sawmill and lumberyard. In 1998 Steve bought the mill from Loyd and now owns the business. Although the company has grown significantly over time, it remains a family business at heart. Our hardwood lumber is harvested from local areas. The personal touches given, combined with the vast industry knowledge, make your experience at Simpson and Sons first rate. Our annual production is between 3 to 4 million board feet. We are continually trying to upgrade and improve our sawmill. We have installed a Brewco band resaw which has improved the quality of our lumber. We now have 4 steam-heat heat exchanger Dry Kilns with the capacity of 250,000 feet. Here is a little background on our office staff. Stephan (Steve) Simpson - Owner. Steve has been in the sawmill business for more than 30 years. Starting out with his father, Loyd Simpson, Steve was in the saw cab, where he learned the fine art of deciding what part of the log would produce the best product. After 17 years in the saw cab Steve decided it was time for a change and began doing maintenance. In time, Steve purchased the business from his father. Dustin - Sales Manager. Dustin has been with the company for nearly 7 years. Dustin started out as a Stacker working his way up to our Lumber Grader. He then became a supervisor, where he was in charge of getting the lumber prepared for shipment. He became our Sales Manager in 2009. He is currently in charge of shipments, sales, and scheduling.  To contact us click here or if you need directions click here.
